At MigraineX, your privacy is our top priority. We're building a migraine tracking app that keeps your health data on your device—because your data belongs to you.

1. Information We Collect

Email Addresses (Waitlist)

When you sign up for our waitlist or download our free tracker, we collect your email address. This is the only personal information we collect before you use the app.

Health Data (In-App - Not Yet Available)

When the MigraineX app launches, you'll be able to log:

• Migraine episodes (date, time, severity)
• Potential triggers (food, weather, sleep, etc.)
• Symptoms and medications
• Notes and patterns

Critical: All health data you log in the app stays on your device. We never upload it to our servers.

Usage Analytics (Optional)

We may collect anonymized usage data to improve the app experience:

• Which features you use most
• App crashes or errors
• General device information (iOS version, device type)

This data is completely anonymous and cannot be linked back to you or your health information.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your Email Address

We use your email to:

• Send you product updates and launch notifications
• Deliver your free migraine tracker template
• Share educational content about migraine management (weekly tips)
• Notify you when new features are available

Your Health Data

Your health data is processed entirely on your device to:

• Identify patterns and predict future migraines
• Generate insights about your personal triggers
• Create doctor-ready reports for your appointments

We literally cannot access your health data—it never leaves your phone.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except in these limited cases:

Service Providers

We use trusted services to help run MigraineX:

• Email service provider (e.g., ConvertKit, Mailchimp) - to send you updates and tips
• Analytics provider (e.g., Plausible) - for anonymized usage statistics
• Cloud hosting (e.g., Vercel, AWS) - to serve our website and API

These providers are bound by strict data protection agreements.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order.

Your Explicit Consent

If you choose to export your migraine data and share it with your doctor, that's entirely your choice. We provide the export feature, but you control where that data goes.

4. On-Device Data Processing

MigraineX is designed with privacy at its core:

• All health data stays on your device
• Machine learning predictions happen locally
• No cloud sync of health information
• You can export your data anytime
• Delete the app = delete all your data

5. Data Retention

Email List

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

Health Data

Your health data exists only on your device. If you delete the app, all your migraine logs and data are permanently deleted. We recommend backing up your data regularly if you want to keep it.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data - Request a copy of the email information we have
• Delete your data - Unsubscribe from emails or request account deletion
• Opt-out - Stop receiving marketing emails (you'll still get important service updates)
• Export your data - Download your migraine logs from the app anytime

7. Children's Privacy

MigraineX is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Security

We take security seriously:

• Email data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• We use industry-standard security practices
• Health data security is your device's responsibility (use a passcode!)
• We regularly audit our systems for vulnerabilities

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as our product evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email. Continued use of MigraineX after changes means you accept the updated policy.

10. International Users

MigraineX is operated from Ontario, Canada. If you're using our service from outside Canada, please note that your information (email address only) may be transferred to and processed in Canada.

11. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

We respect your rights under GDPR (if you're in the EU) and CCPA (if you're in California). This includes your right to access, delete, and port your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
